The University of Cartagena, Colombia, contains four theses that deal with leprosy. Written between 1951 until 1953, they cover the following topics: hygiene and sanitation in the municipality of Cienaga de Oro (Bolivar), the demography and pathology in the municipality of San Marcos, treatment of complications in leprosy, and rural medicine in Usiacuri, Atlantico.
