Dr Henk Menke has collected many books, articles and photographs on the leprosy history and the history of (colonial) Suriname. He has some material on the Dutch-Surinamese-Huguenot physician, Charles Drognat Landré (1844-?) and a series of photographs depicting the daily life in the leprosarium Groot-Chatillon, in the 1950s, taken by director H. E. Krommenhoek more than a decade before it was closed down.
