Maximiliano Aberastury, MD (1866-1931) was an Argentinian doctor and Professor of Dermatology at the University of Buenos Aires and Chief of the Dermatology Section of the Hospital Ramos Mejia from 1919 to 1925. He was an active member of the National Academy of Medicine and cofounded the Sociedad Argentina de Dermatologia in 1927. He played a central role in the enaction of a national law for the Prevention and Treatment of Leprosy (Law 11359), 17 September 1926.
