Mr He is excelled in making a bamboo basket. He lost his eyesight while he was still a toddler. The blindness deprived him of a chance to go to school or to work. Despite the challenge, he started weaving a basket in mid teen to make a living, which he still continues. Facing stigma and discrimination even from the own family due to the disease, he had no choice but to move to a leprosy village at the age of 23.
