Hangchow Leper HospitalFrom 1920 to the beginning of 1930, Dr Dansey Smith was stationed in Hangchow, and it is largely through his efforts that the treatment of leprosy in Hangchow has been put on a scientific basis. He tried a number of different preparations and had quite a number of those affected with the disease being given regular injections when the writers of this article took over that part of the work from him in 1923.
