Founded by the Scottish Mission in 1910, officially notified in July 1911, when the Lepers Act of 1898 was extended to Pune. Run by the Mission until 1942, when it was given to the Bombay Government. In May 1956 it was handed over to the Poona District Leprosy Committee.
