Austin comments in his 1952 report that Sidu, near the south-east corner of Santa Ysabel is run by a dresser under the District Council. Three of the 18 patients proved to have no leprosy and four showed no sign of leprotic activity. Six were not seen as they were “up coast at a funeral”.
