This archive in the Netherlands formerly possessed the archive of the Moravian Church in Suriname, containing many letters, diaries and reports from the Church that administered the protestant leprosarium Bethesda in Suriname. The Utrecht archive still has the large collection of the Dutch chapter of the Moravian Church, that played an intermediary role between the Mother Church in Herrnhut, Germany and the mission in Suriname.
