Yoshio Yoshie, M.D. (1901- ) was Secretary of the Japanese Leprosy Association, Director of the National Institute for Leprosy Research in Tokyo, and chairman of the Japanese Panel of US Cooperative Medical Research Program in Leprosy. He made many research contributions on the microbiology of M. leprae.
